Overture Bloxxer
Stunlock, knockback, and the carry people argue about.
Bloxxer is the class that makes a 25-player Overture lobby feel solved or ruined, depending on who you ask. Lobbies still say Bloxxerman. The kit is the echo of the HOURS boss: nails, an Impale that stuns, a Sink relocate, splash patterns, and rain. Community raid talk is blunter than the HOURS wiki page. People queue this class for stunlock, omni-immunity windows, knockback spam, and a damage number that can carry a messy Erlking or Cazerdus while six other players are already spectating.
This is not a gacha roll and it is not a hidden pay wall. It is a polarizing skill kit in a skill-based boss fighter. If you want the polite version of the ranking, open the class tier list. If you want the lobby version, Bloxxer is the reason a public Normal clear ends in two minutes or in a vote-kick argument.
Compare the feel against Invader greed, Drifter auto-parry, Vestige range, and Redcliff clash on the classes hub before you main nails for a week. Getting started and controls still apply; this class does not skip buttons.
Why the community calls it a carry
Overture took Tempos out. A lot of HOURS hosts lost the freeze that made their damage safe. Bloxxer lost less, because the kit was already ‘keep the enemy on the floor and off your hitbox.’ Impale is a stun. Nails knock back. Sink picks a new floor tile when melee would be a mistake. Super splash and rain are how you keep pumping while the boss is still standing up. In a raid with no Tempo, the person who can deny the boss a turn is the person who decides the attempt.
That is the fun version. The polarizing version is the same paragraph. If Bloxxer is allowed to lock a boss, nobody else gets to learn the telegraph. If Bloxxer mis-times Impale, the immunity window is already spent and the lobby eats a full phase. Players who main Drifter or Redcliff will tell you they would rather die to a pattern they understand than watch nails farm a stun lock they cannot see through. Both complaints can be true in the same match.
One public comment from an Erlking EX attempt put numbers on the fantasy and the failure: huge personal damage, a sudden boss heal from the server owner, and a loss at 19 HP. That is the Bloxxer experience in one sentence. You can carry. The raid can still steal the last tick.
Kit shape, not a fake DPS sheet
We do not publish invented Overture damage tables. The HOURS shape still reads in videos:
- Nail Splash — primary fire, spread, knockback. This is how you keep a boss from walking through you.
- Impale — the melee nail. Stun is the point. Percent-max health tagging in the original kit is why people still press it on fat raid bosses even when they should be moving.
- Sink — leave the tile. Use it as a reset, not as a personality.
- Super Nail Splash / Nail Rain — the ‘I am the encounter now’ buttons. They win attempts. They also steal camera from every Vestige trying to snipe.
Omni-immunity is a community word, not a loading-screen stat. Treat it as ‘this class has windows where the boss’s answer does not stick,’ and verify it with your own ping. High ping turns those windows into placebo.
Mode by mode
Erlking. This is where Bloxxer earns the hate and the highlight. A stun-heavy kit plus a boss that wants you in melee clash range is either a hard counter or a grief, depending on whether you respect coffin, requiem, and the late-phase sweeps. If you are the only person who can lock the boss, you are also the only person who can feed the counter. Read beat Erlking anyway. Nails do not teach clash; Redcliff does.
Cazerdus. Linear lunges and shuriken patterns are the kind of thing knockback likes. Drifter is the stylish solo. Bloxxer is the ‘the lobby will live’ solo. If your group is badge hunting Epikninja on any difficulty, one competent Bloxxer is worth more than four Invaders.
HOURS mode. You are fighting your own boss. That is funny until it is not. Bloxxerman as an enemy still wants wires, nails, and clones. Playing Bloxxer into that fight is a mirror. Fine for a meme. Worse than Invader if you actually want a clean campaign route.
Timeless. Wave modes love knockback and hate tunnel vision. Bloxxer can hold a tile. Bloxxer can also Sink into a new pack. If you are hunting the community Drifter unlock (wave 20, no deaths), ask whether you need a carry class or a class that parries the hits you cannot see yet.
Unlock and donation honesty
Overture’s official raid badges are Redcliff, Vestige / Subject, and Epikninja. Bloxxer is not on that badge strip. Players still show up in public servers on this kit, and the donation cheat menu can force it along with everything else, including exclusive ClassDen and ClassCaz. Forcing Bloxxer does not make the class tier list a pay-to-win list. It makes your unlock screenshot less interesting. Earn it in HOURS mode the way the original host was earned if you care. Use the menu if you only wanted to try nails for one lobby. The unlock tracker is for the badge classes; this page is for the one people argue about.
How to play with a Bloxxer, not as one
If you are Invader, do not Empower into the stun you cannot see. If you are Vestige, stand where rain is not eating your Blast line. If you are Redcliff, save clash for the coffin the nails did not skip. If you are Drifter, remember auto-parry still wastes charges on the hits Bloxxer already knocked away. The carry is only a carry if the other four roles stop donating deaths.
Practice loop that is not a DPS check
- Learn Sink as a reset, not an escape-from-responsibility button.
- Impale only when you can see the boss windup. Stun on cooldown is how you miss the one that matters.
- Play one Erlking where you are not allowed to be the entire lobby’s plan.
- Play one Cazerdus where you are.
- Then read boss rankings and decide whether the fight you hate is a Bloxxer fight or a spacing fight.
Updates is where a rework would land if nails get nerfed. Codes will not spawn extra immunity. Scripts are a different search. Official links is the place page. Bloxxer stays high on this wiki because first-clear ease and team value in the September 2026 beta still look like stun, knockback, and a player willing to be the encounter. That is not fashion. It is the honest reason people mute you and still follow you into the raid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Codes, class unlocks, modes, and raid questions in short form.
Is Bloxxer pay to win in Overture?
No. It is a skill kit, not a gacha unit. The donation menu can force it, the same way it can force Redcliff. Rankings on the class tier list assume you earned the class.
Why do people hate playing with Bloxxer?
Stun and knockback steal the fight from everyone else, and a missed Impale wipes the lobby that was trusting the lock. Bring it as a carry, not as a personality. Beat Erlking still needs the rest of the team alive.
Is Bloxxer better than Drifter for bosses?
How do I unlock Bloxxer?
It is not one of the three official raid badges. Players still use it in public servers; the donation cheat menu can force it. Badge routes for Redcliff, Vestige, Subject, and Epikninja are on the unlock classes guide.
Should I pick Bloxxer or Invader for HOURS mode?
Invader is the campaign comfort route. Bloxxer is a mirror match into Bloxxerman and a raid carry. Use HOURS mode to learn nails, not as the only reason to main this class.
