Doomdestine without Omit. Slow spear, Heavy Strike, stamina instead of Iris.

Overture Prophet Class Guide

Prophet is the second HOURS basic host and one of the three faces in the long silent Erlking base-character solo (Invader, Prophet, Witness, then Redcliff). In HOURS you unlocked him on Peacock Peaks. In Overture footage he is treated as a base / early spear tank. If the lobby does not list him, the card moved — unlock classes and updates.

True name in the original finale is Doomdestine. Blue kit, light-spear, a crown that reads as a Domino Crown. Icon like two capital I’s. None of that grants a Tempo. Overture still has no Omit, Zero, Rule, or Iris. You land Heavy Strike in a real window or you eat the blind spot in front of the spear.

Buttons and the tank fantasy

HOURS numbers, used as a feel sheet:

  • Stab (M1) — about 20. Your regrettable filler. Prophet is not Invader; mashing Stab in the boss’s teeth is how you discover the blind spot.
  • Heavy Strike (M2) — about 100 in HOURS. This is the class. You only press it when the boss is actually sitting in endlag. On Cazerdus those sits are rarer. On Erlking you wait for the sheathe, not for a jab.
  • Dash — two charges in HOURS. In Overture you still have to aim it. Hold W, then Q for forward. Side-dashing a Heavy Strike into a wall is a Prophet special. Controls.
  • Regeneration — HOURS: ten charges, 3 HP each, plus a 0.33/s passive. Overture already regenerates everyone. Prophet’s extra heal-on-charges is why the kit still feels like a tank when Tempos are gone.

Speed in HOURS was about 10 with 100 HP. Slowest of the early trio. You are the fastest tank, not a fast host. Witness is safer for nervous hands. Prophet is for people who will wait.

Where the spear belongs

Erlking sheathe windows. Heavy Strike is a punish button. You will not out-DPS Bloxxer. You will delete a chunk when the sword is away. Do not clash the coffin unless you have labbed clash and parry — that conversation belongs to Redcliff after the badge.

Resident Mind. Long road, real sits if you learned the converted HOURS stages. Beat Resident Mind is how you buy Vestige. Prophet’s regen charges make Hard less of a chip-death.

Not a Timeless specialist. Wave 20 deathless is the Drifter story. Prophet can climb if you never miss a Heavy Strike. Most public lobbies will not wait with you.

Donation. You do not need ClassDen to “be” a spear. Save the pass for Erlking’s own kit — donation menu.

Habits that get Prophet killed in Overture

  • Importing HOURS Tempo muscle memory. There is no Iris to cover a bad Heavy Strike.
  • Standing in Erlking’s red slash because “tank.” The slash still one-shots.
  • Using both dash charges to enter, then having nothing to leave. Stamina empty is a reset even with regen.
  • Fighting ping by swinging earlier. Swing later. Hitboxes are server-owned.
  • Queueing Hard Resident Mind before you can finish the road on any difficulty.

Read getting started if dash is still random. Rank Prophet as a B-style comfort tank on the class tier list until you can land Heavy Strike on command; then he is an A-punish on bosses that actually sit. Players hub for the rest of the roster. Links if Trello retitles the spear.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Codes, class unlocks, modes, and raid questions in short form.

Is Prophet a starter in Overture?

Base-character Erlking solos include Prophet with Invader and Witness. If your lobby hides him, check unlock classes. HOURS unlocked him on Peacock Peaks.

Why is Heavy Strike so slow?

That is the class. You wait for endlag, then dump. Mash Stab and you eat the blind spot. Lab it in HOURS mode before Erlking.

Does Prophet get Iris or other Tempos here?

No. Overture has no Tempos. Regeneration charges and global HP regen replace that fantasy. See controls.

Prophet or Witness for a first raid?

Witness if you want a shield. Prophet if you will actually wait for Heavy Strike. Invader if you want to learn dash-in.

Should I use Prophet to clash Erlking's coffin?

Not first. Clash is a Redcliff conversation after you own the badge. Read clash and parry.
