Overture Bosses Tier List

This list ranks Overture’s fights by how hard a first clear is, not by lore. A 25-player public Normal can still wipe. A solo can still look easy on a class the fight was built for. Pair every letter with a class from the class tier list and a kit page on the players hub. The video on this page is an older Erlking breakdown. Commenters already corrected clash details after it went up. Use it as a picture of the raid, then read beat Erlking and Redcliff for the current punish rules.

Overture’s live modes are Erlking, Cazerdus, HOURS, and Timeless. Open beta, online, 25-player servers, health regen and stamina instead of Tempos. These four modes are already live in the public beta.

S threat — the raid badges

Erlking (Normal). This is the Redcliff gate and the fight most players mean when they say Overture is hard. Three phases, a counter that still hurts, coffin bash, requiem in the late phase, sweeps that delete greedy Invader Empower windows. Percent-health tricks are halved according to community dataminers; do not plan a cheese around a max-HP number the boss may not actually use. Clash on Redcliff is the intended-looking answer. Auto-parry on Drifter covers base hits and not the red slash. Bloxxer can lock the raid and still lose the last tick. Vestige holds a side tile and lives. Easy mode is a lab. Easy mode is not the badge.

First-clear ease is ‘do you have a class that answers melee verbs.’ Team value is real and overrated: 25 players give you more coffins to fail. Solo viability is proven on Redcliff, Drifter, Bloxxer, Invader, Prophet, Witness, even 40 HP Rider. Proven is not the same as recommended. If your first Normal is a public lobby of four Invaders, you are on the hard version of an already hard raid.

Cazerdus (any difficulty for the badge). Epikninja sits on this clear. Community videos show at least four phases, book / stand-still windows, lunges, and a red shuriken line that Drifter can auto-parry along with the jab. Everything else on that kit is a leave-the-tile problem. Bloxxer knockback likes linear charges. Vestige likes the long lane if Backflip does not go into the lunge. Redcliff can show up with knight habits and then try to bat a projectile. Subject solos without potions exist as challenge runs; that is a clip, not the first-clear plan.

First-clear ease is slightly more honest than Erlking if someone in the lobby knows the lunge. Team value still collapses when half the server stands in the same dash. Solo viability is real on Drifter and Witness footage. Badge hunters should pick a kit that can see the shuriken, not a kit that must Empower through it.

A threat — the campaign finale

Resident Mind (any difficulty / Hard). Vestige on any clear. Subject on Hard. This is the HOURS finale with Overture stamina. If you already routed Light Beneath Closed Eyes in the original game, the scare is ‘no Tempo’ and ping, not a brand-new script. If you did not, this is a long fight that copies your kit in phase two and punishes Vestige players who cannot take space back from their own clone. Invader can finish the campaign; that is why HOURS-mode walkthroughs exist. Bloxxer is a mirror into an earlier boss and a fine finale if nails still stun. Drifter is a mirror into Ronin Alpha. Redcliff is off-homework.

First-clear ease depends on whether HOURS knowledge is in your hands. Team value is lower than the raids because the mode still plays like a campaign instance more than a 25-person coffin pile. Solo viability is the point of the mode.

B threat — the modes that eat time

HOURS mode as a whole. Equinox, Bloxxerman, the Drifter boss, then Resident Mind. Familiar if you played the original. Still a full run without Tempos. First-clear ease is high for Invader mains and lower for people who only learned clash on Erlking. Use it as a lab for stamina, as the Vestige / Subject unlock dungeon, and as the place you learn that Overture is a spiritual successor, not a Tempo sandbox. Guide: HOURS mode.

Timeless. Wave 1 to 20, then whatever the server still throws. Community Drifter unlock is wave 20 with no deaths. That single constraint jumps the mode from ‘endless warm-up’ to ‘S threat for that one badge.’ Without the no-death clause, Timeless is an endurance B: packs, ranged patterns, a hidden-boss comment in walkthroughs we will not write a fake strategy for. Clash kits get worse as add density goes up. Pack kits and range kits get better until the screen fills. Guide: Timeless.

Class-to-fight cheat sheet

  • Want Erlking Normal done: Redcliff if you have it, Bloxxer if the lobby is chaos, Drifter if you trust parry discipline, Vestige if you refuse melee, Invader if you like pain.
  • Want Cazerdus / Epikninja: Drifter or Bloxxer first, Vestige if you can aim, Redcliff if you will not invent coffin tech.
  • Want Vestige: finish Resident Mind on any difficulty in HOURS mode.
  • Want Drifter: survive Timeless 20 without dying.
  • Want to skip all of that: donation cheat menu, including ClassDen at boss-scale health. The class list will not promote you for it.

How not to read a boss letter

A public 25-player wipe on Erlking Normal does not mean the raid is impossible. It means six people Empowered into a counter. A no-death Rider clip does not mean Rider is S; it means 40 HP can still think. An old in-depth video does not mean clash is once per raid; later testers said you can punish coffin multiple times, and requiem clash may cost health. Patch notes on updates beat any letter on this page.

Ping belongs in the ranking even though it is not a boss move. Late clash, late auto-parry, late Snipe all turn an A fight into a brick wall. Switch servers before you switch the letter.

Getting started and controls if the stamina bar is still a surprise. Unlock classes and the class unlock tool if you are here for a badge, not a grade. Codes will not shrink a phase. Scripts will not either. Official links is the Roblox place. The tier list hub is the philosophy. Use this page to pick the fight, then pick the class that actually answers it instead of queuing the one you unlocked last night out of stubbornness.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Codes, class unlocks, modes, and raid questions in short form.

What is the hardest Overture boss for a first clear?

Erlking on Normal is the one most players fail in public lobbies, and it gates Redcliff. Cazerdus is the other raid-sized wall. Details: beat Erlking and beat Cazerdus.

Can I get Redcliff on Easy?

No. The official badge is Erlking on Normal. Easy is for learning telegraphs. Unlock classes lists every official gate.

Which class should I bring to each mode?

Erlking: Redcliff, Bloxxer, Drifter, or Vestige. Cazerdus: Drifter or Bloxxer first. HOURS: Invader. Timeless: whatever survives 20 waves. Full letters: class rankings.

Is the Erlking video on this page still accurate?

It is an older recording. Later comments corrected clash rules, percent-damage resists, and requiem interactions. Treat the video as a look at the raid, then read Redcliff and beat Erlking.

Does Timeless count as a boss?

It is a wave mode with a community no-death gate for Drifter. Without that constraint it is endurance. With it, it plays like a boss. Guide: Timeless.

Will a 25-player lobby make Erlking easy?

Sometimes. Sometimes it adds 24 ways to feed a counter. Online multiplayer is the game; it is not a win button. Getting started covers how public raids actually feel.
